I'm going to make these into links to parts of the page and write up some thoughts on each.
Here are some more general thoughts on idle games. Offline gains are tricky. There is a balance that needs to be met. Basically, I want enough rewards from idle play that it doesn't feel like a waste to have idled, but too many gains trivializes things. This, I think, is most important and noticeable when the player has been away from the game for anywhere between a week and even past a month. If a ton of new things have been added since I last played, I want my offline gains to, if not unlock those things, at least give me enough of a boost that I don't have to wait too long to get to the new fun.
This game is one of the giants of the genre. It's a good mix of idle and active. There are periods of waiting for resources to accumulate, as well as times when you want to be actively managing the work flow of your village. Like most of my favorite idle games, it has a quirky sense of humor to it. Well, that's not the exact adjective I want, but it's close until I can think of the correct one. Basically, you start out with a kitten in a catnip forest, and eventually you are colonizing the solar system and dealing with eldritch horrors. Also, zebras hate you for no reason.
Reduces Runescape down to its essential dopamine hits of numbers going up. Slick interface, and I enjoy how the skills are interconnected.
This one is a nice blend of idle and active as well. You unlock more options for automation as you go, and the bosses do tend to require some thinking and strategy, not just prestiging over and over. Fun writing too.
